March Classes: Handbuilding Clay

March 13, 20, 27 Either 1:30-4:30pm or 5:30-8:30pm. 

Take this 3 week afternoon (1:30-4:30) or evening (5:30-8:30) pottery class geared towards all levels, including high school aged students. Each class will have a demonstration. There will ba a planned project, but the student is free to develop their own projects depending on skill level. Students will be provided with all tools necessary to complete their projects.

February Classes: Handbuilt Pottery

February 13, 20, 27 Either 1:30-4:30pm or 5:30-8:30pm. 

Take this 3 week afternoon (1:30-4:30) or evening (5:30-8:30) pottery class geared towards all levels, including high school aged students. The first two weeks will be spent making one of either the house or the lantern.  Use the instructor’s examples for your piece or feel free to use your imagination to create your own distinctive enhancements.   The third week will be spent glazing your pieces using a color choice of your preference and where you will learn different glazing techniques.   Depending on the popularity of this class and your interest for additional classes, we plan to make these classes available for you to take throughout the winter season which will increase your knowledge of handbuilt pottery and creating interesting pieces made by you!   Students will be provided with all tools necessary to complete their projects.

January Classes: Pottery and Paint Pour

Pottery Class: Take this three-week afternoon or evening pottery class geared towards all levels, including high school aged students. The first two weeks will be spent making two to four functional pieces which include a handle. Use the instructor’s examples for your piece or feel free to use your imagination to create your own distinctive handle. The third week will be spent glazing your pieces using a color choice of your preference and where you will learn different glazing techniques. Depending on the popularity of this class and your interest for additional classes, we plan to make these classes available for you to take throughout the winter season which will increase your knowledge of slab pottery and creating interesting pieces made by you! Students will be provided with all tools necessary to complete their projects.

Paint Pour Classes: Take one or all four of these acrylic paint pouring classes either in the afternoon or the evening. All supplies are provided in the cost of the class. Each class will be taught to use a different pouring technique. January 14 - Balloon Smash January 15 - Swipe January 21 - Ring Pour January 22 - Dirty Pour Each canvas will include your choice of three to five colors. Feel free to bring a paint chip or a piece of fabric to create a matching piece. You may want to bring your leftover latex paint from a home project to achieve a match. Register for all four or just one. Completed pieces require a week to dry and two weeks to cure. Pick up your piece the week following the class or make other arrangements for pick-up.
